My steppers are a mite bit warm, but not burning up. So I swapped between the 2nd and last drivers, I think the last one on the far right of the pic is unused, but it may be for the extruder? Anyway I re-leveled the bed, made some tweaks to the Cura settings (my towers were falling down on some prints also) and the test has been running for a few hours. Make sure to test with multiple models to make sure that it's not a model/slicer issue. If you can keep your finger on the stepper motor for more than like 10 seconds (and it doesn't hurt) then they're fine. When I do that, I can feel that they are cooler than my heated bed, which is at 50C, so I have no issues there.

Hi, has anyone tried the kossel with this driver? Is it possible? I'm looking to upgrade to them as the reviews say they're quiter bit was looking for any experience with them before I go forward. TMC2100 Stepper drivers with anycubic kossel by ricki_s. Stepper motors can go up to near 100C (probably more than the injection molded mounts could withstand). I'd worry about the drivers, not the steppers. I did not see any markings on my steppers so I am not sure if they will be cool (pardon the pun) with 2.3A (vref at 0.92V). I'm interested to know what other folks have used for these settings since I don't want to go too far - was thinking of going to 0.92v. The level shifting is mostly gone, but there is still some, and the drivers still run cool. When I first checked the drivers they were in the 0.78-0.88v range on the pot, so I bumped all of them to 0.88V. I should add that I first tried dropping the speed which did not help. I am having issues with layer shifting that have improved a bit with bumping the stepper reference voltage / max current setting.
